Fu Shang Co. Ltd. was founded by Jack Lin as a screw OEM manufacturer in Gangshan Dist., Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. In the beginning, there were only two departments with eight employees to provide OEM service in heading and threading screws, mainly products of JIS and IFI standards, for surrounding manufacturers.
The Department of Stainless Steel Manufacturing was established to produce stainless steel wood screws that meet different fastener specifications in various countries. At the time, Fu Shang was one of a small number of OEM manufacturers who provided both carbon and stainless steel wood screws.
The Drilling Section was established to work on screws with No. 1 to No. 5 drilling points, expanding our products’ application to building materials from wood to steel. Since then, the quality control (QC) has become more rigorous. (In 2015, the production line of No. 7 drilling point has been added.)
An in-plant self-use die workshop was set up to increase the efficiency of production and R&D by saving the time waiting for outsourcing manufacturers to make or modify the dies. In this way, the window between receiving the orders and officially putting into on-line production can be minimized to the greatest extent possible.
The in-plant Slotting Section was established. In addition to common screw points such as Type-1, Type-17, Type-23, Type-25 and Type-F, we also developed our own patented Type-168 and Type-99 with an oblique slotting angle, providing more functional options for building wood screws.
We obtained the patent for Type-168 with 4 slots in Taiwan (R.O.C.).
The Long Structural Screws Department was established and the German all-in-one screw making machine was installed, which increased the manufacturing length limit from 200 mm to 600 mm, and also helped our products to cover a more complete rage by the time. (In 2014, our production capacity was further increased, and the manufacturing length limit has reached 1000 mm.)
The Export.R&D and QC departments were established. In response to the change of building materials and the improvement of construction methods year by year, we began to practically work on the improvement of screw products, gradually re-orientating our business direction to “customization, self-production and self-marketing.” Also, we began to accept the audits of global manufacturers in various countries and passed product certifications such as ISO quality management and CE certificate.
We obtained the patent for Type-168 with 4 cuts in Japan.

We obtained the ETA certification for the series of construction screws.

Our team gives priority to constantly improving our manufacturing techniques and providing better solutions to our clients, rather than considering profit and corporate performance. Plus, we directly handle all clients on our own: we do not have any subsidiaries, we do not hire any professional managers, we do not run our team with multiple directors, and we do not operate with any involvement of shareholders. We are a company under a 100% sole proprietorship and 100% independent operation.

And our primary focus will be the compatibility of in-plant machine equipment. We will match all the forming steps to the various machines and equipment in our factory, ensuring that all the forming processes can be handled on our own without help. In most cases, the screw forming involves six major manufacturing processes, including drawing, die making, heading, drilling, threading, and slotting. Beginning with the selection of high-quality wire materials, each step in the forming processes will directly or indirectly affect the output quality in the next step. Therefore, the production quality relies on the smooth cooperation and intensive communication among various manufacturing departments. To effectively control the quality of the products that you entrust with us, we firmly insist that the screw forming process must be 100% done within our factory and will never be outsourced.
Nowadays, all kinds of building materials and construction methods have continuously improved, becoming more solid, durable with an increasingly higher level of heat insulation, sound insulation, energy saving, and safety. Along with improvements, the demands for fasteners have also increased in order to be in line with new/improved building materials and construction methods. In the face of the R&D challenges of new fasteners, we expect our factory to be not only a manufacturer, but also a listener who can understand your demands and achieve your requirements. Our company is right located in our hometown, Gangshan District, a suburb area in Kaohsiung City in the southern part of Taiwan and also a screw fastener intensive industrial zone. We attach great importance to the development of local communities, employees, their families and the society. We are committed to cultivating local technicians, hoping that more senior professionals will take root in this area and contribute to the screw industry.
Currently, 1/3 of our 124 operators are senior professionals that have been working in FuShang for more than 10 years, and the number is growing steadily every year. By cultivating professionals and passing down the experience, we have built a manufacturing team with strong abilities, which is not only our important asset but also our mission.
The main factory focuses on the production of long-sized wood screws and self-drilling screws. The maximum wire cutting capacity is up to 12.0 mm, and the production range of screw length is up to 1000 mm. A total of 20 sets of machines are on site for heading, threading, and drilling. Among them, the all-in-one machine has the fully automatic forming ability to control the entire production process from wire to finished product. The monthly production capacity is about 200 tons.
In addition to Production Department, there are also Quality Control (QC), R&D, Marketing, and Administration Departments. It is an integrated factory with multiple departments.
